New temporary tank ...

As the title says! Just to show there is more than one way to house our discus!

Really nice tank there Paul!
You mention that you have 130 microsiemens in conductivity when using TMC salts. Can I ask wich salts? What dKH/dGH do you get using those salts?
I also have heard some people having problems dissolving TMC salts, does that problem occur in your tank aswell?

Best wishes
Amir

Thank you  I use a blend of Pro-Discus and the standard re-min. TMC do three types, one for malawi's too. The kH is virtually zero and the GH is 3 or so. I have no probs in getting it to dissolve, I mix the change water in a separate 500 litre tank which has a powerhead and airstone in as well as heaters.

You have a very nice setup and very nice altums Paul. When we were in Duisburg Kaj and I were visiting Hustings in Belgium - but to early.
If we had been there after the show I definietly had bought some of them. I know that Niclas bought some together with some Caiambé discus.

Thanks!

This will give you a good picture of why not. The picture below one of the first altums captured that Kaj P. has posted.

Compaired to one of your own pictures. For instance you have at least five bars in yours...

Their body is also too long. The way they stand isn't like altums that stands more "upright" and so on. But they're still looking great!
